According to police officials, unknown assailants who have come on a car with latest weapons opened fire on Ali just after his procession leaving his guard and secretary dead.
Multan has been cordoned off to recover Yousuf Raza Gillani’s son, who has been contesting from the area.
Shocked over abduction of his brother, Ali Mousa Gillani says that he just wanted his brother back as tears rolled down on his cheeks.
“I will make sure there will no election in Multan if he is not recovered,” he threatened while sitting into his luxurious vehicle.
Police has been interrogating eye witnesses to get further details about the assailants. A case has also been registered against four unknown assailants.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Interim Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khauso have telephoned Yousuf Gillani to expressed his concerns over abduction of Haider Gillani and assured all-out support of the government.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League leaders Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif have condemned kidnapping of former PM’s son. Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ibrahim has also condemned the incident.
