Mumbai: Bollywood film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma is likely to be banned across Pakistan.
Earlier Indian movies ‘Eik Tha Tiger’ and ‘Agent Vinod’ were banned across Pakistan due to some clips mocking at Pakistan army.
According to Indian media reports, Shahrukh is performing as a member of bomb disposal squad unit and some of the scenes shot in Kashmir could incite Pakistan government to impose ban on the film.
The trailer of the film has been banned even presenting it before a censor board.
Model-turned-actor Humaima Malick, who rose to fame with Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol last year, is now set to make her entry into Bollywood with a role in action-thriller Sher.
The film, which will be shot in Jaipur, Gujarat and Rajasthan, will see Malick starring opposite Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt. Directed by Soham Shah of Kaal fame, the film will also feature Vivek Oberoi and Paresh Rawal. Buzz has it that Malick has taken her Pakistani stylist Akif Ilyas to India for her make-up and styling.
About her role in the film, Malick says, “I feel I’m crossing the border with a role that echoes my earlier film. Like my character in Bol, here too, my character revolts against patriarchy. I am not just the male protagonist’s wife.” The film is narrated in a flashback by Malick after her husband’s death.
In her first Bollywood film, Malick plays the same role as Shabana Azmi’s national award winning role in Vinay Shukla’s Godmother. Godmother, which was released in 1999, was inspired by the life of Santokben Jadeja, a gangster’s wife.
Sher will be released by the end of the year.
