Addressing a mass rally at Jinnah Square in Islamabad, the PAT leader said that the current governments had lost their mandates and therefore he gave them a deadline till morning to resign from their assemblies on their own.

“Today the fake governments have lost their mandates,” he said adding that he invite President Asif Ali Zardari and ministers to join his revolution.

The religious scholar said that that the president and ministers were no more on their posts and had become the former president and ministers.

He says his movement is for judiciary.

Qadri says the people gathered in Islamabad will not leave the city until provision of answer of their demands.

LAHORE: Dr Tahirul Qadri’s “million-man march” began from Lahore Sunday afternoon towards its destination Islamabad – around five hours later than its scheduled time.

A large number of party workers and supporters had gathered in front of Minhajul Quran International’s (MQI) central secretariat in Lahore carrying the national flag.

The caravan will now pass from Nehar to Minar-e-Pakistan and then to GT Road. The caravan will spend the night in Gujrat and then leave for Islamabad in the morning.

KHARIAN: Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) Chief Tahirul Qadri claimed that more than one million people are participating in the long march.

Addressing the media in Kharian, he said that the long march will end poverty, strengthen the nation and ensure transparency in elections.

Hundreds of Tehrik Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) activists, riding on motorcycles, cars, busses and trucks, started their long march from Lahore on Sunday afternoon and made first break journey at Diwana Mandi on early Monday morning.

The participants reached Shahdara at 7:00pm while they reached Muridke at 9:00pm where hundreds of people welcomed them. Dozens of vehicles joined the march on arrival at Kamonke.

The vehicles in the long march reached Gujrat at 12:00 midnight where they were warmly welcomed.

Meanwhile, Islamabad has been converted into a military cantonment in the backdrop of Qadri s long march.
He maintained that same corrupt leaders will be elected through elections if reforms were not made.
