Nawaz Sharif’s plane makes emergency landing at lahore airportLAHORE: A small chartered plane, with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Mian Nawaz Shairf on board, made an emergency landing here in Lahore due to a cracked windshield, Geo News reported.

Reportedly the plane, en route from Quetta to Hasilpur, was flying at the altitude of 9,000 feet when it’s windshield developed cracks.

Nawaz’s aircraft landed without an incident with the assistance of air traffic controllers at the Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

There were no injuries, officials say. The passengers and crew members aboard the plane when it made its emergency landing are safe, they added.

According to sources the small jet, which escaped a major air accident, was chartered from a private plane company to fly Nawaz Sharif and his retinue to Hasilpur where an election rally was readily waiting for him to deliver a speech.
