Reportedly the plane, en route from Quetta to Hasilpur, was flying at the altitude of 9,000 feet when it’s windshield developed cracks.
Nawaz’s aircraft landed without an incident with the assistance of air traffic controllers at the Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
There were no injuries, officials say. The passengers and crew members aboard the plane when it made its emergency landing are safe, they added.
According to sources the small jet, which escaped a major air accident, was chartered from a private plane company to fly Nawaz Sharif and his retinue to Hasilpur where an election rally was readily waiting for him to deliver a speech.
