UK immigration dismisses FIA probe in passport scandal

Lahore: The Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) has declared UK’s report into passport scandal as wrong and said that Muhammad Ali Assad got British passport through fake documents and Assad Ali and Muhammad Ali Assad were two different personalities.FIA

Reports said on Monday, the FIA has set up a two member team to probe the issue of passport. Besides, it had informed the UK immigration about the details as to how Muhammad Ali Assad managed to get fake British passport.

The FIA dismissed the UK’s report about Pakistan passport system being faulty. It said the Pakistan’s passport system was flawless and there were flaws in UK passport system.

The FIA team comprising Director FIA Sindh and Additional Immigration Islamabad would visit London within two days where it would got information from the senior British officials at immigration and home ministry.
