Army denies report on ISI role in Hina-Bilawal affair

Islamabad: Dismissing a report by UK-based The Telegraph which claimed that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) plotted an affair regarding Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, ISPR, army’s media wing, said that the ISI had nothing to do with the campaign against Hina Rabbani.ISPR

In a statement issued here on Saturday, The ISPR said that The Telegraph’s report regarding Hina Rabbani Khar and Bilawal Bhtto Zardari was baseless.

The Inter-Services Public Relation said that the ISI had no problem with the foreign minister and the newspaper report was a conspiracy to undermine the state institutions by spreading misunderstandings.

Quoting unnamed sources in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) The Telegraph had reported that the PPP figures believed the reports regarding Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were part of a plot by the country’s Inter-Service Intelligence [ISI] agency to damage Hina’s reputation.

The paper said PPP figures the ISI blamed their minister for her part in facilitating a UN investigation into thousands of missing people detained allegedly by the security forces.

It said the ISI expects the United Nations’ Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances to recommend senior army and intelligence officials be charged for their role and blame Hina for allowing the delegation into the country.

“They are not happy with her,” the newspaper said quoting a PPP figure . “The UN mission received a cold reception but Hina was called in by the president to meet him and the army chief. She crossed some red line.”

(Bilawal-Hina love story)Hina Rabbani’s husband seeks call record

Islamabad: Giving credence to the reports of romance between Bilawal Bhutto and foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar, reports claimed on Wednesday that Hina’s millionaire husband Firoze Gulzar is seeking Hina’s phone call details.hina bilawal

The rumoured love affair, that had got all of Pakistan talking in hushed tones for weeks, came out in the public after a Bangaldeshi tabloid published a story with intimate details about the relationship.

The tabloid claimed that Bilawal was deeply in love with Hina, who is 11 years older than him. Both of them have planned to leave Pakistan and settle in Switzerland post their union, the report said.

Although officials in Pakistan have denied the affair, reports have confirmed that Hina’s husband has submitted an application with Federal Investigation Agency for full call details of two “suspected” numbers.

Bangladeshi tabloid The Blitz had claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari is vehemently opposed to Bilawal’s keenness to enter into marital relations with Khar, who is already married and is mother of two children. Zardari fears that such a move by his son will not only jeopardize Bilawal’s political career but also spell political doom for the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Hina Rabbani Khar, is poised to end her marriage with millionaire businessman Firoze Gulzar, from whom she has two daughters named Annaya and Dina, the report added.

The sensational report further claimed that Bilawal and Hina had a secret affair for quite some time. It came to the knowledge of Asif Ali Zardari, when he caught the duo in a compromising situation inside the President’s house, where Bilawal also resides.
