DI Khan blast at Muharram procession kills 1, injures 36

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A suicide bomber blew himself up near a Muharram procession in Commissionary Bazaar in Dera Ismail Khan’s Choglia area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province early on Sunday morning injuring several people,DI Khan map

Rescue and emergency teams reached the site of explosion and began shifting the injured to the District Headquarters hospital, where an emergency was imposed.

Media personnel were barred from visiting the site of explosion and security personnel cordoned off the area as investigations into the blast went underway.

The laptops will be distribute on last week of December 2012.

Initially this laptop scheme is only that students how have sixteen years passed degree. The scheme has been started due to encourage the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Student. The total worth of this laptop scheme is Rs. 1 billion. The Provincial government of Khyber pakhtunkhwa may be starts this scheme on this month.

Roundly 25,000/- students will be selected for this laptop scheme. The schedule of this scheme has not been announced yet, but it will be announced early.

The level of education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is not so good as compared to Punjab, so I think these types of schemes will be encourage the youth as well as other people of the province that they go for study.

K-P government announces Rs300 billion budget for 2012-13

Provincial Finance Minister Engineer Humayun Khan unveiled a Rs300-billion budget for the year 2012-2013 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.K-P government announces Rs300 billion budget for 2012-13

The session, held in the provincial assembly, was chaired by Speaker K-P assembly Kiramatullah Khan.

Once the budget is released, a raise of 20% is expected in the salaries of the government officials.

Four percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will be spent on education, while scholarships for students who cannot attend school in Kohistan and Torghar will be introduced.

Last year, a budget of Rs294 billion was proposed.

Expenditure details of the next year were as follows:

Health: Rs10.33 billion

Education: Rs6.07 billion

Police: Rs23.56 billion

Irrigation: Rs2 billion

Vocational education: Rs1.73 billion

Environment: Rs1.11 billion

Development: Rs2.45 billion

Pension: Rs210 million

Provincial government salaries: Rs83.83 billion

Wheat subsidy: Rs2.5 billion

Loans: Rs9 billion
