The LUMS community will celebrate the graduation of an awaited 734 students from the three schools; Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law (SHSSL) and School of Science and Engineering (SSE). The students would be bestowed with awards and medals over excellence in their academic performances.
This Convocation for LUMS graduates will be the largest convocation ceremony in the University’s history, with over 700 students in the graduating class. The celebrations will start an evening earlier, on June 22, 2012, with the traditional impressive Graduate Night Dinner, where graduates attaining excellences in subject areas.
Students on the Deans’ Honours Lists will be bestowed medals and shields. The Corporate Gold Medals will be presented with their proud parents, friends and faculty members. The ceremony usually concludes late in the evening with a formal dinner arranged at the campus lawns.
The Convocation Ceremony will be held on June 23, 2012 at the Syed Maratib Ali Sports Complex, LUMS. At the ceremony, degrees will be presented to the graduates and the National Management Foundation (NMF), the governing body of LUMS, will award gold and silver medals to graduates earning top positions in various programs. The major address will be delivered by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy – Pakistan’s first Academy Award Winner 2012. Chinoy is the first Pakistani Oscar winner for her documentary “Saving Face.”
