Eid Special Trains Schedule By Pakistan Railways

Eid TrainLAHORE: Pakistan Railways has decided to run four special trains on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr to facilitate the commuters.

This was announced by Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique at a meeting in Lahore.

Third train will depart on 6th August from Quetta at 12:00 PM for Rawalpindi via Multan and Lahore whereas fourth train will depart on 8th August from Peshawar at 12:00 PM for Lahore and will reach the city at 9:10 PM.

The first special train will depart from Karaachi on 6th August at 11:00 AM and will reach Peshawar via Multan, Sahiwal and Raiwind. The second train will depart from Karachi on 7th August at 11:00 AM and will reach Lahore via Multan and Faisalabad.

Passengers to be notified through SMS about trains delay

pakistan railway sms servicesLAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Railways has decided to notify passengers through Short Message Service (SMS) about the train delays. The service will resume from Monday.

According to Railway authorities, a software has been prepared to acknowledge passengers about exact departure times so that passengers may not face any problem in the future.

On the other hand, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday has said that Pakistan Railways can be made a profitable entity by improving the system of reservation and ticketing.

Chairing a meeting of Railway officials in Lahore ‚ he stressed for improvement in the railway journey to ensure maximum comfort for public.

The Minister urged the Railway employees to play their role for making Pakistan Railways a profit earning organization.

Matters relating to modernizing the reservation and ticketing system came under discussion during the meeting.

Pakistan Railways Eid Ul Fitr Trains Service From Today

LAHORE (August 16, 2012): Pakistan Railways is all set to begin service of three special trains for Eid from Thursday, however, the trains will have no air-conditioned compartments.Eid TrainMeanwhile, the private company Shalimar Train’s Director Sakhawat Ali said that the train fair has been reduced by 50 percent for the first two days of Eid.

According to General Manager Railways, Junaid Qureshi, the first Eid train will depart for Karachi from Peshawar from Thursday at 11:00 a:m. The other train will make its trip to Rawalpindi from Karachi on August 17 while the 3rd train will leave from Peshawar to Lahore on August 18.

The passengers planning to take the train to visit their homes on Eid have protested against the absence of air-conditioning in all the three trains.
