PML-N Khawaja Asif alleges Imran wasted money collected in the name of poor in secret business.
In a press conference Wednesday in Islamabad, Khwaja Asif said that the donations worth Rs 4 billion given for Shawkat Khanum Hospital were transferred abroad. According to him, Imran Khan invested this money in business.
Khawja claimed that he had the documents to establish the fact. In this regard, he said that money collected from Zakat and Fitrana was invested in separate businesses.
He said PTI chief had invested this money in unnamed offshore companies and the Imran’s front man Imtiaz Haideri transferred the amount.
Talking to media persons, Khwaja Asif further said that the Shawkat Khanum Hospital is a welfare institute and his purpose is not to harm the institution.
However, he said that it was imperative to expose chairman PTI Imran Khan’s corrupt practices in the guise of so-called charity missions. He said, “We are saying this with complete evidence with us.”
Khwaja said even Double Shah’s business was more transparent and candid than Imran Khan’s secret deals.
