PTI Ayla Malik joins fake degree holders’ league,

ayla malikISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) prominent leader Ayla Malik’s, who filed nomination paper for by-election on Imran Khan’s vacant seat, participation in the upcoming event is suspicious due to her fake intermediate degree.

The acceptance of nomination papers of Ayla Malik’s is suspicious after discovery of her fake intermediate degree just after a day after PTI member national assembly Ghulam Sarwar Khan suspended on July 19 (yesterday) over holding fake academic degree.

Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has declared her intermediate certificate false as the provided roll number is related with a male candidate who already failed in the exam.

According to The News reports, BISE confirmed in a letter that Ayla Malik d/o Malik Allah Yaar Khan submitted the certificate with roll number of 530561 in year 1989 while the roll number relate to Imdad Hussain who failed in the exams.

The PTI leader has filed her nomination papers on the same national assembly seat NA-71 which Imran Khan left after keeping Rawalpindi’s seat.

PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari clarified that she is not updated with the current situation while on the other side PTI Ayla Malik was not available to comment on the situation.

BISE spokesman said that Secretary Education of Punjab province asked about the truthfulness of the intermediate result while Imran Khan’s cousin and political rival Inamullah Niazi challenged it and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Ubaid Ullah Shadi Khel also disputed her Russian Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) degree.

It is pertinent to note, Ayla Malik attached graduation degree from Russia, intermediate and matriculation certificates with her nomination paper while same certificate were used on the time when she were performing duties as member of national assembly during 2002-07.

Ayla Malik belongs to a political family and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Sumera Malik is her elder sister.

The PTI prominent leader could face legal consequences on having fake degree.

Sources said that it is expected that Inamullah Niazi and Ubaid Ullah Shadi Khel will challenge her academic certificate before election tribunal in near future after the rejection of objections by returning officer.

Earlier, Returning officer additional session judge Malik Shabbir Ahmed adjourned that complains regarding the fake degree holding were not submitted by the educational board so applicant must contact to BISE for legal action.

The judge added that criminal case couldn’t be imposed on the event of photocopies and scrutiny of nomination papers hence the application been rejected.

It is expected near in future that PTI will announce the name of new candidate for the national assembly’s seat after the formal declaration over holding fake intermediate by Ayla Malik.
