Pakistan may not sight Ramadan moon on July 9

moon1ISLAMABAD: Astronomical parameters suggest Ramadan moon may not be sighted on July 9 in Pakistan due to unclear weather, therefore, the beginning of holy month may fall on July 10.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan’s official body will found it impossible to pronounce the first day of Ramadan due to indecipherable weather.

Pakistan’s Met department said that weather is not likely to clear on June 9 as per astronomical predictive reports received from different parts of the country, so in the certain case, first fasting of Ramadan will be held on July 11.

In Ramadan, ninth in the Islamic calendar, Muslim adults fast for whole month during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset in order to test their faith and also believed that Holy Quran was revealed in this month.
