While talking to the media, Young Doctors Association, s leader said that on the one hand, they are termed ‘masihas’ of the nation while on the other hand, they are being exploited and degraded in the name of so-called rules and regulations.
The leader said that the decision had been taken on humanitarian basis; so that any patient may be secured by providing him proper treatment.
So far as indoor and OPD services are concerned, those would be closed until and unless their colleagues are not released out of bogus cases imposed on them on political grounds, he advocated.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court Friday ordered the doctors to resume services at emergencies of the hospitals immediately.
The court also ordered the Punjab government to stop punitive action against the doctors and asked for a report on cases registered against the striking doctors.
The YDA Secretary General Nasir Abbas was of the view that Punjab government was harassing the doctors and police was raiding their houses.
Secretary Health informed the court that action was taken against those doctors who tried to stop the doctors who were willing to resume work.
