Altaf, Zardari discuss problems faced by PPP, MQM, ANP during election campaign

Zardari AltafIslamabad: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday contacted President Asif Ali Zardari over telephone and discussed the current situation face by the top secular parties of the country during their election campaign.

The MQM chief conveyed the difficulties faced by the MQM, Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) during their election campaigns amid bombings and attacks on their election rallies and offices.

Altaf Hussain said that they will not be deterred by the attacks and will continue to organise political activities despite threats.

The MQM chief and Asif Ali Zardari also agreed over curbing the terrorism and increasing contacts in future to eliminate the threat.

Next Elections to be free and fair: President Asif Ali Zardari

Khairpur: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said the next general elections will be fair and fair and they will be held on time.ASif Ali Zardai

While addressing a public gathering in Khairpur, the president said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would again come in the power in next general election.

“Next general elections will be free and fair and I believe that PPP will come in power,” he said.

President Zardari said that those who sacrifice for the people always remain alive in the history. “BB Shaheed came back to the country despite danger.”

The termed Sindh as stronghold of the PPP and said that the problems of masses were being solved on the priority basis.

He further said that after elections all the Chief Ministers would be from PPP. He added that he gifted chief minister ship to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Zardari did nothing for nation in five years: Nawaz

He said this while addressing a public gathering in Taxla.

He said that he is especially thankful to the people for backing him in every hour of trial.

With the reference of Benazir Bhutto, she said that he had signed an agreement with him pertaining to restoration of democratic setup but after tragic end of Benazir, President Asif Ali Zardari came on surface and misused the agreement.

He said that the nation had to launch long march for restoration of judiciary.

He said that he has great love for the people of Taxila who are doing well for the progress and prosperity of the country.

He said that if he had come to power, he would have resolved a lot of problems till now.

He said that he had not come to Taxla for votes; rather his mission was to sympathize with the local population who was at the mercy of rulers who have nothing to do with the problems of masses. Rather, their mission is to loot and plunder money for their vested interests.

He said that the PML-N would continue its struggle for recovery of loot money.

While lashing out on PM Gilani, Nawaz Sharif said that, “President Zardari has made you a puppet and pawn for his vested interests.”

He said that law and order situation in Lyari and Balochistan has become so uncertain that people have been left helpless at the mercy of fate. Innocent people are being targeted while the government is busy in securing its rule.

He said that masses should stand by him for the survival of the country. It is not war of politics; neither is it struggle of personal interests.

He is out along with his party workers to secure the country from cruel clutches for progress and prosperity of the country, he said.

He also appealed to the nation that it should be ready to participate in long march against the government.
